Description: 

A counselor will provide counseling to children to help them integrate back within Right To Play’s selected partner schools (particularly after covid-19). They will also assist with providing academic counseling bridging their academic choices with industrial/career preferences. They will perform their tasks for three months i.e., November 2021, December 2021 & January 2022.

 Locations: Islamabad

Contract duration: November 2021- January 2022 (short-term).

Vacancy closing date: 1st November 2021. Applications will be assessed on an ongoing basis and finalized within the advertisement period.

Job timings and requirements: The individual will be required to visit 10 partner schools in Islamabad alternatively, and provide guidance and counseling to the children. The counselor needs to be at school till the end of the shift. Moreover, counselors will visit schools 5 days per week.

Role & Responsibilities:

·         Consultant will be required to at least lead 2 sessions per month with each school having a duration of a minimum of one hour per session.

·         These sessions will have children aged 8 years to 16 years, and topics of sessions will be Psychological health, Social Cohesion and co-existence, and Career Pathways.

·         Consultant will be required to lead a total of 5 sessions with parents in the duration of 3 months on the Mental Development and support for their children.

Qualification:

Masters OR Bachelor Degree in Psychology OR Sociology OR International Development with industrial and job market knowledge. Preference will be given to candidates with previous working experience with children.

Remuneration: Total monthly salary could range from PKR 70,000 to PKR 90,000 (tax deduction as per FBR will be applicable) for a total of three months.
