Project Description:

CNFA is currently seeking qualified Investment Promotion Lead candidates for the upcoming USAID-funded Pakistan Economic Recovery and Development Activity. This Activity is designed to expand economic opportunities in the Newly Merged Districts of Pakistan’s Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province by strengthening and modernizing the agriculture sector and promoting farm and off-farm micro-and small enterprises.

Job Requirements

Key Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in access to finance, investment, economics, banking, finance, or related field required, Master’s degree is preferred.
  • At least eight (8) years of experience leading and implementing initiatives to strengthen economic growth, agribusiness development, banking and investment, agriculture sector lending, or microfinance, and/or partnership development activities agricultural lending and investment, including with the formal, nonformal, and microfinance sectors in Pakistan;
  • Demonstrated network of business relations in the agriculture, financial, and business development services is required with experience in the NMDs of Pakistan’s Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province strongly preferred;
  • Professional experience implementing programs aiming at increasing agriculture sector lending and access to finance is required;
  • Experience building the capacity of agribusinesses to improve investment readiness is strongly preferred;
  • Successful experience strengthening financial institutions, including banks, digital finance, and insurance providers, and microfinance institutions to design inclusive products suited to the agriculture sector, with experience with loan guarantee programs preferred;
  • Experience working with Pakistani Government agencies related to entrepreneurism, agribusiness, and agricultural finance and credit is strongly preferred; 
  • International donor experience is required, USAID experience is preferred;
  • Fluency in English is required, fluency in local languages is a plus.
