JOB PURPOSE

The incumbent will be responsible for creating content for social media that includes copywriting, graphics, and technical work for Maternal & Child Health (MCH) Program. S/he will be required to visit fields to gather content.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Help in implementing strategies to improve program visibility and program awareness on social media platforms.
  • Collaborating with other departments, team members and brainstorming subjects for creative content.
  • Creating unique, simple-to-understand, and user-friendly content using good market research techniques.
  • Writing new promotional content and editing existing content.
  • Proofreading new content before publication.
  • Overseeing the distribution of content through our various platforms, including social media.
  • Analyzing performance indicators and web traffic and determining the effectiveness of created content.

 

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES (KSA)

Required Qualification

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, mass communication, or a related field.

 

Required Experience

  • At least 1-2 years of experience in copywriting, graphic design, social media, or a related field.
  • Experience in working with social media tools such a Hootsuite, Facebook Business suite, etc is a necessity.
  • A minimum proficiency to work with graphics is mandatory and experience above 1 year in design software.

 

Required Skills

  • A fair understanding of graphics and photography. Working knowledge of content management, including software such as Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Premiere Pro, or similar design/video editing tools.
  • Good working knowledge of Search Engine Optimization (SEO) and the latest social media practices.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail, multitasking, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
